My first trip to the west coast did not disappoint and it was for the most unexpected reason. Dr.Spam wrote to me and invited me to photograph his wedding reception, well, he described it as “more of an excuse to get a bunch of good people together in the same place and eat tacos and drink tequila while enjoying a view of the sunset over the golden gate bridge.” Do you see why I couldn’t possibly refuse? These two are amazing. Deanie + Dr. Spam (Francisco) threw a perfect party and he was right, there were a bunch of good people in attendance, all there to celebrate their love. I was thrilled to be a witness. Thanks Spammy, you have a beautiful life. So happy for you both! Congratulations!
One of the things I love most about this wedding is that I didn’t meet the bride or groom in person until the day of! In talking to Brenda over the phone though, I got a really good sense of her character and she’s a total rock star. She gets stuff done. I mean, she was counting money and pouring champagne when I walked in the room. So, naturally, I liked her immediately.
The storm held off for their ceremony but it did rain on their afterparty. These guys didn’t let that stop them though; they moved some things around and managed to get the dance floor and DJ under the tent. Pat and Brenda’s friends were amazing. They dissolved all those difficulties and made way for a good time. That’s what you do for the ones you love, right?
Congratulations to you both! Many happy years to come! Brenda, I would’ve loved to get an after shot of your mud-stained dress. One thing is for sure, you guys know how to throw a party.
Best,
Angela
Rachel and Charlie love some Georgia football. So much so, I was almost expecting Rachel’s dress to be red! At least the bottoms of her shoes were…but I don’t think that was an homage to the bulldogs as much as it was to high fashion. When we met for the first time and Rachel described her Big Day, I’m certain I told her that this would truly be a princess wedding, and it was. Take a look for yourself.
Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Howell! Go Dawgs!
Congratulations to an incredibly fun couple! Click on the photo to see a small sample from the day. The celebration was still raging when we left. You both sure know how to tear up a dance floor!
